2016! Here comes the PAIN!

by Chris Matters 23. March 2016 12:54

That's right race fans!  Been a long time coming but the car is oh so close. No more major pieces for us to wait on. We are down to time and hard work. The guys at JPC Racing are killing it!  We have gotten the car all set up. Big parts are all installed and mounted. The RGR power plant is perfectly tucked between the frame rails backed by an ATF Speed th400 trans. ATF also hooked us up with a badass set of Motor plates and one of their bolt-together converters. With 3 speeds to push we can't wait to throw the boost to it. Big Stuff 3 has been amazing to work with, we will be using a BS3 computer with their coils and traction control!  We are excited as well to be using their new boost controller as well.

Feather Carbon did an amazing job on the body parts for our car. All are available directly from us or through JPC. We were able to get the car down to 2300 lbs with most everything in the car. By the time we add the drive and fluids and balance the weight for us to meet minimums we should have a perfectly balanced bullet!

We have updated the photo gallery as well, take a peek and check out the amazing work Rich Groh did on that motor!  It's a Ford GT super car 5.4L 32v Dry Sump motor. It has a billet crank, custom rods and pistons and is set up to rotate to a fever pitch!  Shout out to Bullet for our custom cams, PAC Springs for some killer pieces, and Jesel for the parts to keep the top end humming. ACCUFAB chains and tensioners keep everything lined up.   The custom intake will be on top with an ACCUFAB TB and PTE 225# injectors!

DJ Safety took great care of everything on this beast. With us pushing low 4 second runs in the 1/8th mile and over 200 mph in the full 1/4 we wanted the best. 2 air launched parachutes, 2 10lb fire systems, all the diapers and drivers safety gear will make sure should something go wrong we are protected.

Well we will finish getting it ready and be back to report soon!  Stay tuned the PAIN TRAIN is COMING

It's starting to look like a race car

by Chris Matters 8. October 2011 08:30

Hey guys back for more good news!  The Chassis is coming along well.  I have added some newer photos of the car in the chassis shop. Drummond Racecars is progressing along with the build.  The cage is almost done.  Still some mock up to do before it's finished.

I have to say thanks to Double AA performance for the BAD ASS K-member!  It has  custom control arms and limiters!

RaceCraft INC is AWESOME, their spindles and caster/camber plates finish is off!  We are also using their adjustable 3rd link on the new rear.  Very high quality pieces, saving many hours of fabracation on this end as well.

Baer Brakes are going to finish off the front and rear end. Look for the new spindle mounts on display at SEMA and PRI!!!!

Feather Carbon has some BRAND NEW parts for us.  Decklid is on the car, doors should be done next week.  Many more parts too!  Thanks so much to Tom!!!

Last but not least is HoleShot Wheels.  Marleen, these wheels are sick baby!!! New spidle mounts revolvers on the front and 15x12 double beadlocks on the rear!!

After this weeks races Steve will begin to mock up the eng and Trans.  Props to TCI for great customer service in getting my bellhousing, case and shifter  to Steve in order get the engine mock up right.

Next step is buiding a complete new 9 inch rear.   Rather then hack up the rear we had.... which is a cobra jet strange 9 inch and is for sale with extras.... we are buiding a new one, complete with floater axles in case we every want to step the car up to ODR we won't need to change anything other then the turbos and tires!

More to come I promise.  Go check out the photos, here is a teaser!

Hey everyone,

Hot on the heels of PRI, we are moving forward quickly with the X275 Radial build.

I had a chance to meet with many fine companies that have a interest in partnering with FMM to be part of the 2011 season.  Some will bring parts and equipment to the program; some will bring products to the market for race fans to discover!  I really am looking forward to hearing from them soon, as proposals will be mailed soon so negations can begin with commitments.

Update on the car it is stripped and gutted and heads to Steve Drummond Racecars on Saturday!

25.3 SFI chassis and all the trimmings will be on the menu, check back here soon for updates on partners for FMM and photos of the car in process!

I did have a chance to meet with Nate Pritchett from the Ultimate Outlaws series  and Donald Long with the Outlaw Radial Tire Championship series, and once again we have commitments to announce at all of these great events along with MIR for the 2011 season.

So I hope you get hearing protection for Christmas,

Happy Holidays and God Bless,

Keep 'em fast.
